Although beer production is its best known application, the use of hops by folk medicine is very old.

Primarily used to combat insomnia and sleep disturbances, it is also known to calm anxiety and restlessness , although its effects on depression are not well established.

Dosage

  • Drink a cup of hop infusion, prepared with 1 gram (1/4 teaspoon) of dried cones (female flowers), one hour before bedtime.
