A great way to use smoked salmon that you have in the freezer, other than on a bagel!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown basmati rice
  • 3 cups of water (for cooking rice)
  • onion
  • tray of mushrooms
  • large broccoli (or two small)
  • garlic cloves
  • 500 g smoked salmon (thawed)
  • 225 ml 35% cream
  • 150 ml chicken broth (approximately, to deglaze)
  • The juice of a lemon
  • Capers, to taste
  • 500 ml grated cheese
