# 11. In the first episode, Monica introduces Chandler to Rachel when they already know each other
In the very first episode of season 1, when Rachel runs away from her own marriage and arrives at the cafe, Monica introduces her to Joey, Phoebe and Chandler. However, thanks to the flashbacks that we see later in the series, it is obvious that Rachel and Chandler already knew each other since adolescence, since Ross was a friend of Chandler.
